Campfire Recipe: Brie with Prosciutto, Honey & Almonds

Are you looking for an easy to do appetiser to share with your friends and family in front of the campfire? Then you should try this melted brie filled with prosciutto, honey and almonds!

Easy to prep and every cheese lover will appreciate it!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 wheel of brie
  • 3 tbs of honey
  • 1/3 cup roughly chop of almonds
  • 3-4 slices of prosciutto

At home:

There is no much prep needed. You can previously roughly chop the almonds, but that’s about it.

At Campsite:

Make your fire and create some coals.

Cut the top of the wheel brie. Then fill the cheese with the slices of  prosciutto, one on top of the other

Top the wheel with the previously cut top, from the picture you can see I have designed some criss-cross incisions, this way the honey will stay on the top. Top it with honey and the previously chopped almonds.

Wrap everything into foil. And then place the wrapped brie on the coals and let it cook for about 7-10 minutes.

It is ready when the prosciutto is crispy and the cheese is melty and soft. Me and my friends we had it with some crackers.
