Hiking Recipe: Moroccan Style CousCous

Are you looking for the easiest but yummiest dehydrated recipe? Then you should try this couscous!

Easy to prep and very fulfilling!

  • INGREDIENTS:
  • 1/2 cup cous cous
  • 1/4 cup of dried carrots
  • 1/4 cup of dried capsicum (green and red)
  • 1/4 cup of dried  pumpkin
  • 1/4 cup of dried purple cabbage
  • 1/4 cup of dried cannellini beans
  • salt and pepper to taste
Optional:

At home:

Cut all the veggies thinly and spread them into the dehydrator trays. Let them dehydrate for 4-8 hours at 125F/50C,  until totally dry.

Pack all the dehydrated veggies, couscous and jerky into a ziplock.

On Trail:

Place the whole ziplock content in a cookpot, jar or plate and add enough water just to cover – about 2 cups. Let it soak for as long as you can. Eat it cold on a hot summer day or warm it up on a cold autumn night…
